
South Africa faces a new political era
In a notable change, the African National Congress (ANC) has lost its parliamentary majority, indicating a shift in South Africa's political landscape. The final count from the 29 May 2024 elections showed the ANC receiving 40.18% of the votes, a decrease from its longstanding dominance since the end of apartheid.
