The Msukaligwa Local Municipality has announced immediate and stringent water restrictions across the region following a steep decline in water levels in critical dams. The water crisis is particularly severe in the areas served by the Northern Waterworks of Ermelo, which rely on the Douglas and Brummer Dams, which are now at dangerously low levels.
