Several schools in Ermelo, including Netherland Park Secondary School, Laerskool JJ van der Merwe, Hoërskool Ermelo, Ligbron Academy of Technology, and English Primary, were left without power earlier today after representatives from the Msukaligwa Local Municipality (MLM) reportedly switched off their electricity. According to the schools, this action was taken despite their accounts being up to date, with the Department of Public Works allegedly in arrears on rates and taxes.
