Urgent: Heavy Rainfall Triggers Bridge Collapse on Carolina/Chrissiesmeer road

The route located roughly 7km out of Carolina along the P177, connecting the R33 and N17 (Carolina and Chrissiesmeer road) has been deemed unsafe for travel, due to its sudden collapse after heavy rainfall.
The Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality has announced the immediate closure of the P177 route
The road will remain closed until further inspections and necessary repairs are completed.
