Roaming Cattle a Growing Hazard on Ermelo’s Streets
Livestock, particularly cattle, roaming the streets of Ermelo have become a common – and increasingly dangerous – sight. In recent weeks, residents have reported cattle freely grazing along main routes, with some even spotted on Fourie Street, one of the town’s busiest roads. This road sees frequent heavy truck traffic, making the presence of loose animals a serious safety hazard for both motorists and pedestrians.
Despite the evident risk to road users and the broader public, little appears to be done to curb this growing problem.
