Every South African will agree that we have all been pushed to our limits through lockdowns, virus infections and lately complete anarchy and destruction. It has been a decidedly tough couple of weeks for our citizens and country. Yes, our country is plagued by poverty and unemployment, and COVID has added to this burden, but there is never an excuse for resorting to crime and looting, which we have seen recently. Justice is never served by destruction, and looting is not a sustainable option for getting ahead in life.
