Eskom announced on Monday Stage 2 loadshedding that was scheduled for 21:00 on Monday would be implemented from earlier from 18:00. Loadshedding will commence on Monday (25 Oct) from 18:00 until Tuesday (26 Oct) morning 05:00. Ermelo residents would have missed Stage 2 loadshedding on Monday but due to earlier implementation of loadshedding, residents will be without power from 18:00 till 19:30. Eskom Tweeted the following at 17:24 on Monday, "#Stage2 #loadshedding will be implemented now at 18:00, instead of at 21:00 as previously communicated. Unit 1 of Kusile & Matimba Unit 5 tripped, taking 1300MW off the grid. Loadshedding will continue as previously communicated. An update will be issued should the need arise."
