Residents have raised their opinions on MLM's Facebook post regarding this fire incident. Some residents commented that it is very suspicious that the transformer caught fire the day after it was installed.

At the time of publication, MLM Spokesperson Mandla Zwane said that power had been restored to the affected areas except for the Wesselton Municipal Offices.
