The proposed open-cast Nooitgedacht Colliery, which may be opened 3.26 km from Ermelo, is already compiling a report on its viability and effects on the local community. While many members of the Ermelo community feel that an open cast mine, 3.26 km out of Ermelo, will negatively impact their lives, many may need help understanding to what extent.
