Over 400 students were successfully assisted with their applications for tertiary education funding within the Fetakgomo-Tubatse Local Municipality on Monday, 22 January through an initiative of the Sekhukhune District Municipality.

The district municipality kick started the campaign to facilitate NSFAS applications for needy learners across the district.

Executive Mayor Minah Bahula supported the drive to enhance access to higher education opportunities for local students.

Lemson Moropyane, SDM head of communications, said they were impressed with the turn-out of the students who showed great interest in the program.

Moropyane indicated that they are working together with local four local municipalities, Ephraim Mogale, Elias Motsoaledi, Makhuduthamaga and Fetakgomo-Tubatse to ensure that they reach out to as many students as possible.
