Samuel Bassie Mahlangu (60), a former Warrant Officer, and a pensioner, appeared before the Delmas Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 18 June 2024 for defeating the ends of justice and tampering with evidence. 

His appearance followed after Mahlangu was served with J175, on 14 May 2024 by the Middelburg based Serious Corruption Investigation after the docket was referred to them for further investigation.
