In a devastating mass shooting early Saturday morning, January 11, 2025, eight lives were lost, and three individuals remain hospitalised in Pienaar a settlement outside Nelspruit. The attack occurred around 04:00 AM, leaving a female and five males dead at the scene. Two additional victims, a male and a female, succumbed to their injuries in hospital and three more(two males and one female) currently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained.
