Fed up with worsening road conditions and no action from the local municipality, Ermelo residents have taken matters—and shovels—into their own hands.
In a true act of community spirit, a group of locals is patching potholes using their own materials and time.
The repairs are currently underway at the corner of Camden Avenue and Hennie Marais Street, near the entrance to South Centre (Pick n Pay)—a busy intersection known for both foot and vehicle traffic.
