[UPDATE] Residential House burns down
The firemen fought the fire for about two hours. Unfortunately, most of the house burned down, and multiple parts of the roof collapsed.
Fortunately, nobody was injured, and no human lives were lost. Sadly there are reports that a few pets at this residence have succumbed to the fire.
"Fire engines have a limited volume of water it can carry and rely on fire hydrants to fight fires successfully. We made multiple calls to different institutions to assist with water tankers, but we had no success getting assistance. The fire fighting action could have been much quicker if we had sufficient water available at the scene. Without water, fire engines and firefighters are helpless," Fire Chief Jaco Johnstone said to iNews.
