Let’s play the blame game...
Why do we play this game?
* So that we can call others BAD and make ourselves feel better.
* So that we can have a higher STATUS when the other person is labeled bad.
* So that we can PROJECT our feelings onto others and not feel bad about ourselves.
* So that we can EXPLAIN what caused the problem beside ourselves.
* So that we can DEFEND ourselves and not feel attacked.
* So that we can PUNISH the person and make them believe that they are bad and we are innocent.
Blame shifting is a way of shame dumping our own weaknesses and faults; hence it’s so easy to blame something or someone else instead of owning up to your part in the game of blame.
Get real and quit playing the blame game before you become addicted to becoming and playing the victim for the rest of your life and you keep hearing yourself saying: ‘It wasn’t me...’. Just as Shaggy the singer laments in his famous song when he gets caught red handed; Or was it? Because it’s never your fault it’s always someone else’s fault - Or is it?
You can choose
remember it’s easy to play
And that’s why it’s called
The Blame Game ...
With Gratitude
