On Saturday, the Department of Basic Education (DBE) held a media briefing about its vaccination program. The plan is to vaccinate approximately 582,000 teachers and staff members in the education sector in 14 days. The vaccination rollout is scheduled to start on 23 June 2021 and planned to be completed by 8 July 2021, a day before schools close for the holiday.
